23–26 September: Monaco Yacht Show
11:00 p.m. Paris. By text message
Léa: Hey. Are you awake…?
Editor-in-chief: Yes. What’s going on?
Léa: Do you remember that you thought I looked tired the other day?
Editor-in-chief: Honestly, no. But you’re texting me at this hour just to tell me that?
Léa: You did say I looked a bit pale. I thought I could get some fresh air… on a boat.
Editor-in-chief: On a boat? What are you getting at now?
Léa: The Monaco Yacht Show! From September 23 to 26, the finest boat brands will take over Port Hercule in the Principality. I think some sea air would do me good.
Editor-in-chief: But the boats are moored!
Léa: Yes, it’s just a figure of speech. I’ll be able to see them from my room at the Hôtel Port Palace Monte-Carlo.
Editor-in-chief: But you won’t actually feel the sea air!
Léa: Yes, I will! I can walk there since the hotel is right on the port. And there’s a water shuttle that leaves right in front of the hotel.
Editor-in-chief: I have an idea!
Léa: Oh yeah? I’m listening…
Editor-in-chief: Ask the new intern who’s in charge of the beauty section. She has loads of self-tanning samples. That’ll give you some color.
Léa: Are you serious?
Editor-in-chief: Good night.
Léa: More like a nightmare!
